The Aix-en-Provence Flower Market
With the sun’s first mild rays, the square in front of the Hotel de Ville is dressed with a bright and fragrant mantle each week. Roses, peonies, sunflowers, pansies, hydrangeas come together in front of the Clock Tower for the flower market’s intoxicating ballet, to the joy of all. A scene to be enjoyed from the front row, among the stands from which a thousand exhilarating scents escape; or from as far as the terrace of a cafe from where you will hear the pleasant hubbub.
